Culminating of my exciting days

Video Self Portrait
The style I used was normal video for my portrait. I used a camera that was attached to my sunglasses like a GO PRO.  Most of the video is shaky because the camera was on my face so every move I made was able to be seen. This was mainly cuz I was constantly moving but also because my day usually involves lots of movement because I am usually involved in lots of activity throughout the day… besides the point of my slow days where I pretty much don’t do anything besides school, work then home.
I used two different soundtracks. I used a slow and “boring” music for my mornings and an exciting uppity song from Skrillix for my athletic moments of the day.  I didn’t use any words or letters in my video mainly because my usual day goes without saying not exactly a fun filled one… that is, not yet.
I made this video with the “techniques” of the open mind as in off the top of my head because I never know what my day is going to be like or what’s going to happen tomorrow or even in five minutes.  My personality mainly follows the moments of my day, I wake up not very lively representing my slow moments in life or when ever im down.  My afternoon/evening with the  lively music and sports/athletic lively moments of my day represent when I am happy or in for some reason or whatever reason in my good mood making other people celebrate what’s going on in the moment and that’s why I chose the Skirllix song because he is able to make peoples moments in their lives the greatest and lively.   This is my Self-portrait and these are the reasons why I did what I did and why I do what I do.

OCAD

Industrial Design

Industrial design is everywhere, it is the door you use to get in your home, the light switch you use to turn on your lights and the bulbs you use to light up your home.  Im interested in this because I would go into car design, designing the shape and style of the certain vehicle.  I have always liked cars, and to say that I was involved in designing a beautiful car would be an amazing dream come true.

Photography

Photography is a way, the way to express your self in way you can keep forever.  I am interested in this because I was brought up in photography and have always loved how I could make something my own, and express myself without judgement. Also i like it because i can capture beautiful moments from the past and keep them for a far future, then go back in time using them going back to that memory and moment i was in taking that picture.

Environmental Design

The Environmental design is one of the most interesting designs from OCAD and i find it very fascinating.  It involves the ability to design homes and interior architecture. Some of the houses that these students and graduates have designed are just out this world and i would be honoured to be involved in this program creating master pieces that people can enjoy for life times.

If I Had To Choose
If i had to choose a career in one of these designs i must choose industrial design (car design) because i just love cars so much, and with every new model of sports cars and even casual road cars come out the more and more i want to be involved in the project to make them happen.

10 of My Best

These are 10 of my best photo's that I shot using a signed out Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm on manual focus camera. The pictures also include some people from a gym class occurring during my shots.  I chose 10 of my best photo's that i took in the general area of my school, i took 10 photo's of different subjects not 10 of one subject.

DEVIL'S ADVOCATE in typography

This is a great example of a successful typigrophy. it has growing letters to show him yelling, it keeps zooming in and out to emphasize certain words. and has a great ending with the ending of a sentence then a fade out.  The eight different types of principals of animation are:

1) exageration: for certain words they made stretch when he said "private" this happened at (0.24 seconds)
2)emphases.
3)movement.
4)space.
5)form shape.
6)variety and contrast.
7)proportion.
8)Unity: everything seems like it belongs where it is.

Vector Drawing

Original

Created
                                                 Veector Illus. image

I chose a file format titled TIFF. to save to because it means better quality and for this vector drawing I want as much detail as possible.  Although it is a large file and is not best for digital cameras, I’m not using a camera or worried about space being taken up this is best for me.  I found all of my necessary info from THIS SITE.
The very first thing I did was search for an image that best fit my requirement’s and what I thought would be the coolest turn out.
After I found the best fit of an image put it onto illustrator and started off by out lining the whole body besides the antlers with the pen tool with no fill (yet) and an outline of black.  After I realized I need a gradient of shade from the fur and lighting in the image I separated the body from the limbs and made the body and limbs all separate pieces.  For each separate limb I put a different but necessary gradient for the fur details on the elk.
I then worked on the smaller details, such as the ears, the eye, nose, mouth line, and then the antlers.  All I did was use no fill for the mouth, then black fill for the nose.  But I put a gradient brown to white on the eye to show a shimmer from the sun.  When I worked on the antlers, I had a hard time figuring out the shade I should use and if I should make it one whole piece or two separate layers, which I ended up doing.  After I figured to do them separately and found the shades and colours I put a gradient from dark brown/black to a peachy white with no outlines.
This is my final and finished vector drawing.

Pixel Portrait

png.

For my project; i placed the picture of my self into photoshop, put another layer on top of the picture and used the eyedropper tool to copy the colours and shades from my face and then used the pencil tool to colour in my face with the certain colour. i did all of this on the separate layer not the original photo.
The certain parts of myself that i tried to convey were my headphones because i listen to music allot and get inspired by music for most of my art work.  Another main part of me is how i use my eyebrows for everything, from talking with emotion, to making my friends laugh.   I don't see a difference in the two (gif. & png.) or not a big enough difference for me to realize the differences.

Final stop motion project

In my group we accomplished on making an amazing stop motion video.   The point of this video was to  show loyalty somehow,  we made a group of fans cheering at a game but then another group of fans from the opposite team come into the picture, start cheering and they win the game.  There was a confrontation between the two teams but then resolved and both groups of fans cheered together.

In this painting what i find interesting is all the multiple colours and different birds whish i did not notice at first. i find it very cool how they were able to put all of these birds so closely together to make what looked like just a swirl of colours.

Title:  Untitled (Blue Painting Light to Dark VII)

2006
Medium:
Oil on linen
Dimensions:
60 x 50" (152.4 x 127 cm)

Statement:
In this painting i find the white streaks contrasting against the dark background really cool, i'm guessing they used the "dry brush" method to make this possible. it makes this painting look something like "warp speed" in star trek or star wars.
